What visitors say
Lovely campsite. Has everything you need! We stayed in one of the pods and it was super cosy and comfortable. There was a mini heater in the room which was helpful because it was quite cold outside during our stay. The shower and toilet facilities are well maintained and clean. The shop has lots of useful little bits and bobs. Dog friendly. The owners have really thought of everything.

Lovely campsite. Showers and toilets are very modern and absolutely sparkling clean! They have a nice little bar on site too with some lovely owners. Our only issue was we arrived late and it was difficult to find our spot, especially after a 7 hour drive that we had to ask the bar owners if they could help us. We couldn’t find the camping warden unfortunately. However as the facilities are very nice we would still book this campsite again! Thank you 🤩

This a beautiful hidden gem of a campsite in a pocket of calm just 15 mins from Lake Windermere and yet because of its location it’s one of the more accessible parts of the Lake District if you’re coming up from the south as we did. The bathrooms have been redone to a high standard and the shop has all the essentials you need. It was both a lovely retreat in its own right and a good base to explore from. We already want to come back and make it a regular family getaway place as it was very special. The owners are also very friendly and helpful.

In 20 years of Camping Caravanning and now with a Campervan. This has to be one of the best sites we have ever used. Facilities are very clean and modern, and no silly push button 5 second showers. Shop in the Yurt has basic essentials. The site is in the perfect location to either just relax and take in the fresh air, or for the more adventurous there's some wonderful walks and cycling direct from the site. The staff and owners are super friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We were lucky enough to be there for the opening of the new Tap Room, local beers and ciders from a local brewery. Has amazing pizzas available as well, just check when available if important to you.
