Formal hotels are not really a feature of Wold Newton itself — this is a village of a few hundred people, not a resort town, and its one notable place to stay, Wold Cottage, is a bed and breakfast and self-catering property rather than a hotel in the conventional sense. Staying there does have real appeal, though: the 18th-century farmhouse is the same building from which the 1795 meteorite takes its name, and guests are a short walk from both the obelisk marking the impact site and the village's Norman church.

For a wider choice of hotels, guest houses and self-catering cottages, the coastal towns of Filey and Bridlington are the obvious options, both within easy driving distance and offering everything from traditional seafront hotels to independent guest houses, with Scarborough a little further north providing an even larger range. Driffield, the nearest market town, is another practical base with a handful of hotels and inns, useful for anyone wanting to explore the Yorkshire Wolds more broadly rather than staying by the sea. Whichever base is chosen, Wold Newton itself is close enough to visit comfortably as part of a day exploring the Great Wold Valley and the Wolds Way, with the meteorite obelisk, Wold Top Brewery and the village church all manageable within a short stop.
