About Hadley Bowling Green Inn

Hadley Bowling Green Inn is a country pub with rooms set in the village of Hadley Heath, a short drive north of Worcester towards Droitwich. Bedrooms occupy a converted barn adjoining the main pub, arranged around a courtyard away from the bar.

The inn is known locally for its large beer garden, open fireplace and kitchen serving pub classics alongside daily specials, making it as much a destination for dinner as for an overnight stay.

Its rural setting suits visitors happy to drive the fifteen minutes into Worcester for sightseeing in exchange for a quieter, greener base with genuine village character.

We had a great stay here. We were 2 couples with one dog. We booked a muddy paws package and our boy really enjoyed his stay! The outside seating is great, the evening food very tasty and our room comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and we liked the outdoor cinema concept, which was full when we stayed. It’s great to see a country pub doing so well. Only improvement would be that we booked a room with ‘muddy paws’ package which said dogs stay free but when we arrived they insisted we needed to pay £20 for a dog in the room. I think the website should be clearer as stated the dog stay is included in the package. Also other country pub chains who charge for doggy (which is understandable) do a better job for the fee, for example we normally stay heartwood inns and for the extra fee we get a dog bed, dog treats and shampoo package. But with this chain the £20 just gets the dog into the hotel to stay. We still had a great time but whereas other chains are super dog friendly, I would say on this stay Butcombe chain is dog accommodating, which was still appreciated but didn’t blow us away. We’d certainly stay here and with this chain again though.

This was our 2nd visit in four months and we’v booked to return in November. The staff are extremely friendly, polite and always on hand. We ate in the restaurant and one again the food really was very good. Weather was glorious so we were able to sit outside and enjoy pre dinner drinks. Fantastic place in a great location - what’s not to like.

Superb traditional pub in quiet rural location. Stayed for 2 nights on an MG car club outing. Excellent service. Room comfortable. Great food. We were blessed with hot weather, and a fan was provided in the room without having to ask.

Great pub in a lovely rural location. Nice en-suite room, clean and comfortable. Good food, well prepared and presented. Friendly and efficient staff. Good quality breakfast with plenty of choice. Disappointed that the two outside cottage rooms requested and booked, and which had been confirmed, were reallocated to others without prior notification. Mobility issues meant that one of the rooms that we were moved to on the 1st floor inside the pub became difficult
