Blakeney House

We stayed for our anniversary weekend with our nine month old baby. The owners were genuinely welcoming to the three of us and had a travel cot and baby monitor for our use which meant that we could go downstairs in the evening and make use of the living room. They make amazing breakfasts (with a daily special), give great restaurant recommendations and know York inside and out. Nothing was a problem for them and as a result, the weekend was even more relaxing than we had hoped for.

Wonderful few days away. Beautiful room fantastic breakfast. The owners couldn't do enough to make our stay as memorable as it was. Wonderfully situated to access York and it's surrounding attractions.

I've stayed at this place very recently with my husband. It seemed it was a time when a fewer guests were staying at the place than usual. Every service given was superb, I would say. I really enjoyed staying at a place, a hotel with a traditional British house style.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Blakeney Guest House, Louise and Mark are great hosts and make you feel more than welcome. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and a bottle of prosecco was waiting for us on our arrival; thank you very much. The breakfasts were excellent and in addition there was a different speciality breakfast available each morning. Our room was superb and the bed very comfortable. The 4 star rating is very, very well deserved and we would have no hesitation in recommending staying here and look forward to returning next year. Blanche & Ray
