Crovie Cottage

Crovie Cottage is fully equipped for self-catering: the kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and wine cooler; the ground floor includes a wood-burning stove for cooler evenings, Freeview TV, DVD and CD players; electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are all included. The cottage has been completely renovated inside, with original flagstone flooring in the living area and a modern wet room on the ground floor. Upstairs, two bedrooms provide a double bed (4ft 6in) and three single beds (3ft each), sleeping up to 5 people. One dog can stay free.

Crovie is unlike anywhere else in Britain—it's the only village where cars cannot drive through. Visitors park at the far end and walk the short distance along the seafront. The cottage sits on a narrow ledge at the base of Gamrie Bay cliffs, with the sea immediately below the outside wall. There's a bench overlooking the bay, where the view stretches across to the pier, shingle beach and distant hills. A pub lies within a mile. The cottage has steep, narrow stairs; note that the sea wall is very close to the property.
