Ruach

Aberdeenshire

View on Google Maps

Gardenstown's working harbour sits just downhill from Ruach, a terraced cottage on the village's elevated edge. The Moray Firth stretches across the view from the main living space, where a woodburner, Freeview television and dining area occupy the open-plan ground floor. Doors lead to an enclosed garden with furniture and a barbecue. Three bedrooms sleep five: one kingsize with an ensuite bathroom, two singles upstairs, and a futon for a child or occasional guest. A second full bathroom serves the rest of the house. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking.

Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in a utility room outside. Parking for one car sits on the property. A short walk downhill reaches the beach; the village shops, pub and restaurant are nearby. Boat trips operate from the harbour where dolphins appear in the bay with some regularity. The neighbouring village of Crovie is reachable on foot. The cottage suits families and couples only; smoking is not permitted inside.
