Eagles Gate Lodge

Banff sits on the Aberdeenshire coast where the bay curves between two towns and the beach stretches alongside a working harbour. Eagles Gate Lodge is two miles inland from the shore, positioned within grounds that once belonged to Duff House estate. The property itself dates from those grander days—a listed cottage that started as one of the estate's lodge houses, since refurbished with a modern kitchen and bathroom while keeping its character intact.

All three bedrooms and the bathroom occupy the ground floor, making this practical for families or groups of six. Two doubles and a twin share views over the garden. The living room has a woodburner, there's a separate dining space, and the kitchen is equipped for self-catering—oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a coffee machine. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, along with initial logs for the stove. You have private parking for four cars and an enclosed garden with seating areas front and back, with woodland and open fields visible beyond.

The location suits anyone wanting walking routes—there are good paths nearby and dogs stay free. Banff itself, a couple of miles away, has shops, restaurants and the sandy beach. Duff House is about a mile distant if you want to explore the former stately home. No smoking inside the property.
