Insch sits in rural Aberdeenshire, within reach of Haddo House, Pitmedden and Tolquhon Castle, along with several historical stone circles scattered across the landscape. Longcroft Cottage is a detached property that has been updated for modern living without losing its character—a sensible base for anyone planning to tour the area by car. The nearest restaurant is a mile away; shops and pubs are four miles off.
Three bedrooms sleep five: a kingsize on the ground floor, two singles upstairs, and a third single bedroom. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. A woodburner in the living room adds warmth on cooler evenings (logs included). Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and electricity are covered. The enclosed garden has a patio, seating area and gas barbecue; private parking fits two cars. Note that three steps lead from the patio down to the lawn.
The cottage does not permit smoking. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if you ask when booking.

Had a lovely stay over New Year. Everything we needed, just a home from home. We had quite a lot of snow but road was kept clear enough to get out and back for a couple of trips out. Karen was there to meet us when we arrived and she came to see us again before we left, which I liked, it's nice to meet the owners, which with many properties doesn't happen. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We had a lovely peaceful stay here for christmas week . welcome hamper all sourced local . Karen the owner is really helpful and kind .
