West Fife Pods
Muirhead Farm, Culross, Dunfermline KY12 8EN, UK
Two farm-set glamping pods near Culross, around ten miles from Aberdour
About West Fife Pods
West Fife Pods sits on a working farm at Muirhead Farm, just a short walk from Culross—one of Scotland's loveliest 17th-century conservation villages—around ten miles west of Aberdour. This small, purely glamping operation has built a strong following among couples and families who want a countryside stay without the tent, thanks to its farm setting and genuinely dog-friendly welcome. The two fully equipped pods, Ben Cleuch and Ben Buck, each sleep up to four across a double bed and sofa bed, with a full kitchen, shower room, underfloor heating, TV and mobile Wi-Fi, plus a private fire pit and barbecue area overlooking the fields. Fresh farm eggs and welcome treats—including juice, milk, chocolate and dog treats—greet guests on arrival.
The farm sits directly on the West Fife Woodlands Way, a ten-mile marked walking and cycling route, and is around fifteen minutes' drive from both Dunfermline and Stirling, making it a handy base for exploring Aberdour and the wider Forth valley. Culross itself, with its cobbled streets and abbey ruins, is on the doorstep.

What visitors say
Beautiful pods located in such a peaceful location. The pods were equipped with everything we needed (plus extras which were a lovely surprise on our arrival!) Nicky and Eric are incredibly helpful, responsive and kind hosts. We felt well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Would definitely visit again!

Our first time using a pod, but not our last. We had an extremely enjoyable stay with our dog. Everything was clean and in excellent condition. The pods are set in a fantastic location with plenty of woodland walks, a field next to the pods for exercising dogs, and Culross only a mile away. The hosts were very welcoming and ensured that we had what we needed for our dog. There's a fenced pond next to the pods which adds to the idyllic experience of relaxing outside the pod enjoying a sundowner. We plan to visit again.

The pod was easy to find with directions given by the owners. There is parking available for the pod a few seconds walk away. The pod itself was brilliant and even had underfloor heating! It was spotless and had a wee welcome nip which went down a treat. The bed was comfy and we both had a great sleep. Nearby walks were pointed out to us by the owners along with a recommendation for a nearby pub for food (Red Lion Inn, Culross) that was fantastic. They were very friendly and contactable throughout the stay. The surrounding views of the pod are incredible, especially at sunset with a fire going in the chiminea (wood and matches were provided). We would definitely come back again, especially to see the dogs! :D

We’ve stayed at West Fife Pods a few times now and always love it. It’s a really great, dog-friendly place with everything you need and the pods are always clean and comfortable. The dog field next to the pods is a huge bonus, our little dog absolutely loves it. The outdoor area is really nice too, with fairy lights, space for a BBQ and a chiminea to enjoy in the evenings. Nicky and Eric are lovely, welcoming hosts. We’ll definitely be back
