Quiet working-farm certificated location near Saline, 5 miles from Dunfermline
About Eastfield Farm
Tucked into the Cleish and Saline hills just five miles north-west of Dunfermline, Eastfield Farm offers a genuinely rural escape on a working farm without straying far from town amenities. This small certificated location keeps things deliberately low-key, with just a handful of pitches split between cut grass and hardstanding across half an acre. Mown paths lead out into the wider farm, and views open over rolling Fife farmland—perfect for dog walkers and anyone after a proper countryside feel.
Facilities are basic, so this suits self-sufficient campers with tents or motorhomes who value peace over elaborate site features. It's the closest proper camping option to Dunfermline itself, making it handy for visiting the abbey, shops and restaurants, then retreating to a quiet pitch among the fields. A straightforward, no-frills farm stay with easy access to historic central Fife.

Nice place to stay, have to be a club member, but so quite. Only had toilet.

Peaceful site. Very friendly and helpful owners. All grass site, which I believe can get awkward after long periods of rain. There are some lovely walks direct from the site. Be wary of the approach roads - the roads are very narrow and have very few passing places. If you have the choice, I would recommend approaching from the Blairingone side and not from Saline as it has better visibility and a couple of passing places to help you. Overall, well worth a visit if you’re looking for some P&Q.

I have travelled extensively and pitched at sites with my motorhome Eastfield farm is not even worthy of a one star rating. When I arrived the owners showed a grass pitch and my comment was I will get stuck if it rains, no you won’t was the reply we have matting under the grass, the owner had to pull me out when I wanted to move. The description states they have hard standing, the only hard standing I saw was the road into the site, others on the site were of the same opinion. Shame the owners can not be more true about the site rather than how much money they can make. If feel you must use this site make sure it is a dry sunny day which will reduce your chances of getting stuck. CT
