What visitors say

Gillian O'Neill

We stayed at Lagganbeg Caravan Park from the 12th to the 15th of June and had a really lovely stay. The park was peaceful, easy to get set up with our tourer, and the staff were extremely helpful throughout our visit. We arrived to find a BBQ running, and although the prices seemed a little high at first, the portion sizes and flavours were outstanding, great value in the end. The bathrooms were clean and very warm, which made stepping out of the shower much more comfortable. There’s also a nice walk around the park, and it’s only a short drive to Loch Lomond Shores, where we enjoyed the weekend market. I left a review on PitchUp and the manager kindly responded. I appreciated the explanation about how their small team manages reception, cleaning and grounds maintenance. I’ve been on a lot of sites, though, and garden work happens at all sorts of times, it’s just part and parcel of caravan parks. The same goes for bathroom cleaning: most places simply use a sign to let guests know when facilities are being cleaned, and everyone works around it quite happily. Personally, I’d always rather have more time on site than lose time because of cleaning or maintenance windows, especially when these things are normal and expected on touring sites. We work full‑time, so when we go away every minute counts. We always arrive as early as possible to make the most of our first day, and a later check‑in really reduces that time. Likewise, on departure days we enjoy a long lie and a relaxed pack‑up (it’s part of the holiday feeling) so an earlier check‑out can make the morning feel rushed. Even a small adjustment for tourers, who don’t require accommodation cleaning, would make a noticeable difference. The manager mentioned early check‑in and late check‑out can be arranged by phone or email, which is helpful to know for future visits. Regarding the bathrooms, there are squeegees available, but a mop and bucket would make it much easier for guests to leave the shower area clean and dry, especially when water spreads around the cubicle. Overall, Lagganbeg is a peaceful, friendly and well‑kept park with great food, warm facilities and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay and have already booked our next stay. We appreciate the manager taking the time to respond to our feedback.

We had fabulous two nights at Lagganbeg run by very friendly family who gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The reception has a good selection of groceries and fresh items. The location of the site is right beside Loch Lomond just a ten minutes walk. The facilities showroom and toilet are spotless and well equipped. Landery room has a large washing machine and dryer also an iron. We are looking forward to returning Lagganbegg in the summer month.

Nice welcome. Stocked shop. Water and electric hookup by each hard standing pitch. Very modern and clean toilet block. Lucky enough to have come on a night with BBQ. Pulled pork was good.

Lovely campsite in great location, 10min walk to Loch Lomond to admire sunsets. Amenities kept very clean. Really quiet and peaceful, tent area surrounded by trees giving some nice shade and a bit of privacy. Ladies at the reception were welcoming and helpful. Shame you can't park next to your tent but luckily it's not too far to walk, can do your steps for the day. It's certainly a place we will come back to with great pleasure!
