Within walking distance of Loch Lomond's lochside paths and a short drive from Scotland's hill country, St Ronan's Place works as a base for outdoor activity or quiet exploration. The restored barn sits in open countryside just over 2 miles from the water itself, with Duncryne Hill nearby offering panoramic views across the loch and surrounding landscape. Glen Finglas, a nature reserve, is close by for spotting deer, raptors, herons and waterfowl. Distilleries, an aquarium and the attractions of Glasgow and Stirling are within 40 minutes by car; Balloch station is 6 miles away if you prefer the train.
The property has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping six. Downstairs holds a living and dining room with woodburner and TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and one bedroom with two single beds plus a shower room. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, each with a kingsize bed, and another shower room. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There is parking on site and a private walled courtyard. One dog is welcome, though the owners ask that pets stay downstairs; a stairgate is provided. No smoking throughout.
The area suits walkers and water-sports enthusiasts—sailing, fishing, windsurfing and cycling are all available on or near the loch—as well as those interested in wildlife and Scottish heritage. The nearest shops, pub and restaurant are within 3 miles.
