Ptarmigan Lodge

Balmaha sits on the edge of Loch Lomond where the landscape changes from lowland to highland. Conic Hill rises behind the village and rewards a walk with views across the water to the peaks beyond. Inchcailloch Island lies offshore—a ferry runs from the shore, and the island has its own history to explore. The Oak Tree Inn and other restaurants are within a mile, as is a pub.

Ptarmigan Lodge is a four-bedroom property sleeping eight, arranged over two floors. The ground floor has three double bedrooms, each with its own shower room, and a fourth bedroom with bunk beds and a separate shower room. Upstairs, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area opens onto a balcony that overlooks the marina. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are covered. A hot tub for four sits in the garden at the back.

The property works for families and groups. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request. Smoking is not permitted indoors. There is a public car park nearby at cost. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.
