Those lovely Anglesey beaches, the grand peaks of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park… either are within easy reach with a stay at Mornest Caravan Park near Gaerwen – and you'll also get a healthy dollop of luxury living in smartly furnished pods with lots of amenities.
Cosy, compact and contemporary, these pods are designed for folk in search of a relaxed adults-only Anglesey retreat – with a huge glass frontage to allow you to soak up all those views. The open-plan living area has a TV, storage space and a sofa that easily converts into a double bed, and there's also a fully equipped kitchen corner and an ensuite bathroom with a full-size shower. Outside there's a small private seating area that's just the place for an alfresco breakfast or evening drink (a bakery and craft beer shop five minutes' walk away in Gaerwen can help provide the goods…).
What's included? Most of the basics are provided – bedding, cooking utensils and a few cleaning products – but you'll need to bring towels, along with any other bits you need to make the place feel like home. Keen to feel the sand between your toes? The Blue Flag Newborough beach is 10 minutes' drive away – and if it's mountain biking or climbing you're after, Llanberis (half an hour's drive) is outdoor-sports central over in Snowdonia on the mainland.

What visitors say
We stayed in "Pod 2". Never stayed in a Pod before, so didn't know what to expect. The Pod was clean and tidy. The pull down bed was comfy. There is free WiFi which was not to bad for strength and stability. The shower worked well with good water pressure and temperature stability. The TV was a smart TV and we used a dongle & smart view on our mobile to stream ITVx, BBC player & Paramount +. The caravan park was quiet as its well away from the main road. We were allowed a early check in at 11:30 instead of 15:00 with a charge of £15 which we really worked for us. We got to meet the owner on arrival by chance and you could tell she'd been looking after the Pod.

First time staying in a Pod, and it's an experience, dealing with the restricted space. The pod was clean and tidy. There is a pull down bed which doubles as a sofa, which was comfy The shower worked well with good water flow and temperature control The location was good and the caravan park was quiet.

Go here with my nan and it is excellent and scenic. Bunny's all about during sunrise and co op not far off. Problems with facilities are being fixed.

Stayed in a pod, immaculately clean, everything you need, toaster, kettle etc, they do not supply towels, however they do supply a tea towel for the dishes. Great location, easy to book the pod, text message received with codes to get through barrier into the site, and a code for the key box on the pod. Will definitely be staying again, perfect location only 15-20 minutes to Bangor.
