Dalvanie Mill

Glenisla offers serious walking terrain, and Dalvanie Mill puts you at the heart of it—the cottage sits on a small working farm where the landscape rises around you. Glenshee ski area is 8 miles away, and Pitlochry, with its fish ladder, theatre and independent shops, is within a scenic drive. The nearest pub with food and shop are 7 miles down the valley.

The cottage has four bedrooms sleeping six: one single and three others (kingsize, double, and another single), plus a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs, there's a living room with an open fire, separate dining room with another fire, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer all there. Wi-Fi is included, along with bed linen and the initial fuel for the fires. The garden is partially walled with a gravelled terrace, garden furniture and barbecue, and there's a private hot tub for six. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Parking is on site. The property has steep banks in the garden, so worth knowing if you're bringing young children. There's no smoking inside.
