Meadowgreen Farmhouse

Photo: Sleepy Rambles

Meadowgreen Farmhouse works well for families or groups of six wanting space without neighbours. The three bedrooms—one with twin single beds, two with doubles—sit across two floors, with two bathrooms to share. Downstairs you get a sitting room with woodburner, a kitchen with full cooking facilities and dishwasher, and a utility room with washing machine and dryer. Underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, plus initial fuel for the fire.

The property stands on the Lour Estate farmland, four miles from Forfar's shops, pubs and restaurants. There's a lawned garden with patio and seating, bike storage and parking for one car. Wi-Fi is available throughout. Note that the stairs are open, steep and narrow in places. No smoking indoors.

The location suits walkers, golfers and castle visitors. Forfar Loch is nearby for anglers; the Angus coastline and glens are within reach for day trips; Glamis Castle, St Andrews and Carnoustie golf course are all driveable distances. The area has a nature reserve, swimming pool and enough history and outdoor activity to fill a week of exploring.

This was our 6th visit to Meadowgreen . It's a great place just to get away from the rat race and relax . It's location is superb central for Forfar etc . Could do with new mattresses now and a modern smart TV and it would be 100% . Booked again for next year

An absolutely fabulous accommodation. Much bigger than what it looks on the website. Lovely welcome gift of milk, butter, homemade scones and jam and little chocolates. Great little thoughtful touches like fresh flowers in the kitchen and bedrooms and also a tv magazine for the week we were staying.
