Old Montrose – Gardener's Cottage occupies its own corner of the grounds, originally built as the head gardener's house and now converted into a quirky, two-storey rental that flips the usual layout: bedrooms upstairs, living spaces below.

The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms and one bathroom. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The main bedroom opens onto a private sunny garden and patio—a genuine retreat within the larger estate. One dog can stay free. The whole property is yours alone; you're not sharing facilities with other guests, though the owners' walled garden, tennis court and putting green are available to use. No smoking inside.

The setting is peaceful and secluded, with pathways through rose gardens and plenty of space to explore on foot. A self-catering kitchen means you can cook as you wish. Arrival is after 4pm, departure before 9am.
