South Links Holiday Park makes the most of a genuinely rare position: right on the edge of Montrose, within easy walking distance of both a wide sandy beach and a full High Street. Run by Angus Council, this four-star site takes tents, tourers and motorhomes on grass and hardstanding pitches, with static caravans available to rent. Facilities include well-maintained shower blocks, laundry and full disabled access throughout.
The location works particularly well for families after a straightforward seaside break, golfers visiting the historic links course next door, and older campers who prefer shops and services close by rather than isolation. Montrose Basin, the museum and harbour are all within a short stroll, making it a practical base for exploring without moving the car.

Great campsite! Only downside was rules are highlighted when checking in but no one seems to follow them, kids running around playing football at 1am and screaming.

Surprisingly huge caravan park with tons of great restaurants within walking distance.\\nThe only downside is the shower and toilet block. Showers are very clean, but only stay on for a few seconds.

We have just had the best weekend in our motorhome here. Site is lovely peaceful and well laid out. Facilities are great very clean nice hot showers. Warden was lovely very cheery and helpful. Easy walk into town for shops and pubs and an easy walk to the beautiful Basin with views to die for. Definitely return.

What a great wee site. Folks who look after the site are friendly, knowledgeable of local area.\\nThe toilets and showers are always clean. Site is well kept. We were on pitch 67 and got a chance to see 2 red squirrels playing in the conifers near our pitch. Place is real quiet. Just up the road about 5 min walk is a great cafe. Does a superb flat white and lovely munchies. Montrose beach has a lovely sandy area for peeps and dogs alike. The walk to nearest convenience store is 10 mins away with town centre 5 more than that. Lovely cafe called the Pavillion cafe is another one for a great flat white.\\nThere are plenty of off-site dog walking.\\nWe got a chance to spot a seal just off the coast. All in all we had a great stay at South Links Holiday Park and will call in again.\\nThank you
