Rottal Farmhouse

Rottal Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse on the Rottal Estate in Glen Clova, Angus, sleeping 8 across four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The layout spreads across two floors: downstairs holds a living room and dining room, each with a wood burner, plus a kitchen centred on an AGA cooker with an induction hob and full appliances, a utility room, and one bedroom with separate toilet. Upstairs are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom with bath and shower, plus an ensuite to one bedroom. Each bedroom has zip-and-link beds that can be pushed together or left as singles. The property is your own for the duration of your stay, with parking for two cars on site.

A large enclosed garden surrounds the house and opens onto views across the glen. Inside, the AGA and wood burners provide warmth; heating also comes from a biomass boiler. The essentials—wi-fi, electricity, bed linen and towels—are covered. One pet can stay at no extra cost. The farmhouse sits within a rewilding estate with trails and wildlife, and makes a base for families or groups wanting both comfort and access to Glen Clova's hills, woodland and the South Esk River. Children's equipment including a travel cot, highchair and stairgate is available. No smoking is permitted indoors.
