Open the door at Beechwood and you step into a bright living room with a Smart TV, looking out over the front garden towards the water. The ground floor flows through to a kitchen and dining area equipped for proper cooking – electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine – with a door leading to a small garden where you can sit and take in the view. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with singles, and a modern shower room with a walk-in shower.
The house sits among white-painted properties in Arrochar village, on the banks of Loch Long at the heart of the national park. A handful of waterside pubs and restaurants are a short walk away. The location works for people planning days on the water – sailing, kayaking – or hiking the surrounding hills and mountains. Ben Lomond and Beinn an Lochain frame the landscape. One car can park on site. One well-behaved pet stays free. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The property does not permit smoking. A beach lies about 8 miles away; Helensburgh with its shops and cafés is roughly 30 minutes' drive.
