Mains Cottages - Douglas’ Cottage

Carradale sits on the Kintyre Peninsula, where sandy beaches meet moorland walks and island-hopping becomes feasible. Douglas' Cottage is a ground-floor unit designed for two, with everything on one level: a living space centred around a woodburner, a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine, a bedroom with a double bed set into a wall recess (accessed from one side), and a shower room. The courtyard has garden furniture and parking for two cars.

Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; logs for the burner come with the booking. One pet stays free. The Kintyre Way passes through the area, offering structured walking routes, while Carradale's own beach is a short walk away. Skipness Castle, the Isles of Arran and Gigha, and the RSPB reserve on Islay are all within reach for day visits. Campbeltown, the main town, is about 20 minutes' drive.
