About Ashbourne Heights Holiday Park
Ashbourne Heights sits three miles from historic Ashbourne, the southern gateway to the Peak District and starting point of the Tissington Trail. The park makes an excellent base for exploring market towns like Bakewell and Buxton, or venturing to Alton Towers just seven miles away. Facilities include a heated indoor pool, a large children's play area, and generously-sized pitches with room for awnings and cars parked alongside. You'll find electric grass and hardstanding options for tourers, plus non-electric grass pitches for tents.
The licensed shop, launderette, and covered washing-up areas cover the practical side, while the quiet atmosphere and friendly staff create a welcoming environment. Some visitors note that facilities can feel a little tired in places, but the location more than compensates – you're surrounded by walking trails, spectacular Peak District scenery, and easy access to the area's wealth of activities and historic attractions.

What visitors say
We brought our kids there and spent 2 instead of 3 nights but it was more than enough and the kids had a great time. Play ground was great with an indoor pool. Reception lady was helpful and lovely and has a small shop in the reception. There’s also a food truck with amazing fried ups!

Lovely location, ideally located and quiet. Stayed here as visited Alton Towers (approx 20 min drive away!) Stayed in one of the bell tents on site for Son's birthday. Was a fun experience for him to enjoy. Great facilities on site - including small park to keep the kids entertained, and well maintained toilet facilities. While we stayed on the Bell tent there were plenty of other options such as glamping pods, so depends on what experience you want, but overall enjoyed the experience and would certainly recommend.

Wow! What a lovely Holiday park! We only booked a short weekend stay as a last minute thing, as we were visiting Alton towers. We booked a platinum caravan, and we were given number 70. It is a beautiful caravan, easily the best caravan we've stayed in. So we'll decorated, and equipped with everything you need. And everything is high quality, Joseph and Joseph everywhere, amazing quality pans etc. The park is a good size, not too big, so it has a cosy feeling to it. Lots of different types of accommodation, pods, camping, caravans, and all looks very good and new looking. The location is amazing! This morning I went out for a early morning run, and the tissington trail comes right up to the park so I headed off down the trail. It was lovely, the views are amazing. So if you want to run, hike or ride, this is brilliant! Plus it's only a couple of miles to nearby Ashbourne. I definitely think we'll stay again when we come up to visit Alton towers, much better than being in a hotel!
