About Ashbourne Touring and Camping Park
Parking up for the Peak District to flit between limestone valleys, pretty villages and green peaks? Take your kit to Ashbourne Touring and Camping Park, a well-equipped site in a handy spot just off the A517, a mile from the village of Hulland Ward. Easy access from the main road means it's straightforward to get set up – and that location puts you close to the village pub and farm shop for restocking supplies. Bus services from the stop just outside run into Ashbourne's cobbled streets and weekly market, or drive yourself over in about ten minutes.
The site keeps things simple with well-maintained toilet and shower facilities, a parent and baby washroom, chemical disposal and washing-up area. Dogs are welcome to join you, and there's a good dog walk nearby. The edge of the Peak District National Park lies about ten minutes' drive away, as does the start of the traffic-free Tissington Trail, so you're well-placed for exploring the landscapes. Other attractions include Alton Towers and the grand Chatsworth Estate.

Nice little rural campsite near Ashbourne at the southern end of the Peak District. No site shop. 1 x Toilet/Shower/Wash/Laundry block and a couple of extra toilets nearer the lower grass 'tent' field. Hard-standings are closer to the block. Electric to many of the grass pitches. Some air activity during the day/evenings but only noticeable in tents. Quiet at night. Access from A517 but quieter lanes head north and south very close for cycling. Great base for exploring the Peak District and a short drive/cycle into Ashbourne.
