Heads of Ayr Holiday Park
Dunure Road, Ayr KA7 4LD, UK
A family-run coastal park ten minutes from Ayr with beach access and touring pitches
About Heads of Ayr Holiday Park
Heads of Ayr Holiday Park sits on a coastal site just south of Ayr, with views out toward Arran and direct access to the beach. Family-owned for decades, it combines a well-established static caravan area with spacious touring and camping facilities, offering both fully serviced hardstanding pitches—complete with fresh water, electricity and grey waste disposal at the pitch—and electric grass pitches suited to tents and smaller units. Modern shower blocks feature underfloor heating and baby changing, and the park includes a well-stocked shop, laundry room, children's play area and Wi-Fi across the site.
Dogs are welcome, up to two per pitch, making this one of the more dog-friendly options along this stretch of coast. The coastal setting gives quick access to the beach and to Culzean Castle a short drive south, while Ayr's shops, restaurants and railway station are close enough for easy day visits without needing to relocate. Open fires aren't permitted, but the park otherwise accommodates a wide range of camping and touring set-ups.

Absolutely lovely site. We stayed her while visiting family on holiday at craig tara. This site is immaculate. Spacious pitches. Fantastic shower block. Lovely staff and welcome. Sunset over arran is a must see on a nice summer night. Small shop for essentials, but above all it was tranquil and quiet. We will be back next year. We'll done guys. You holiday park is truly one of the Best in Scotland.👍👍👍👍👍

Lovely site, so nice and clean and the garden areas are very well kept. Reasonable price for our stay. The shop / reception is well stocked and is open from 9am til 7pm. The shower / toilet block is very clean, only thing is if nobody else comes in while you're in the shower, the lights go off and you're in darkness after about 20 minutes lol. Great location for exploring Ayr. (We had a campervan)

Family of 3, perfect place to stop. Ayr was on the door stop, beautiful place and so much to do.\\nThe park was lovely and tidy, the staff were amazing, helpful so friendly. We stopped in a storm but it just made us feel like definitely have to go back in good weather.

We booked this site just for one night to break up a long drive. It wasn’t quite what we were expecting. We were there just after Christmas so it was out of season; there was only one other Motorhome there but a couple of caravans that didn’t seem in use. We found it odd that they placed us right next to the Motorhome; we’d have preferred space, especially as they appeared to be caring for a crow with a broken wing and our dog jumped out of the van once off her lead and I was reprimanded about said crow. The campervan/Motorhome area was about a minute walk from the washroom facilities, doesn’t sound a lot but it is going back and forth. Maybe they have more motorhomes than campevans usually.\\nBut the worst thing was the showers. Everything was clean. But My god they were not warm enough at all!! Turned up full, tried every single one and they were all the same. Super disappointing after a day out exploring and you just want a hot shower. We didn’t manage to get a takeout delivered to the site which was also a ballache but not the sites fault
