About Ayrs & Graces

Ayrs & Graces is a small boutique B&B in Alloway holding VisitScotland's 5-Star Gold rating, one of a small number of properties nationally to achieve it. Just three guest rooms are offered, each individually designed, including the Robert Burns Suite with its own lounge and luxury bathroom.

The property sits about ninety seconds from the Brig o' Doon, making it a favoured choice for wedding guests as well as visitors touring the Burns Birthplace Museum and Alloway's other literary sites on foot.

With such a small number of rooms, Ayrs & Graces offers a personal, detail-focused style of hospitality rather than hotel-scale facilities, and books up quickly, so early planning is worthwhile for a stay here.

Some places are Blessed. This is one of them . It is a beautiful place to stay over. The owners, Paul and Rhona are big hearted, warm and brilliant hosts. The breakfast was delicious. As vegetarians they catered for us amazingly. I would not hesitate to come back. Thank you.

Heads Up Gentlemen

Initially, my friends and I had planned on going camping in the scenic Scottish countryside. However, upon arriving at the campsite, we were greeted with heavy rain, dampening our spirits. After trying to wait it out for a while, we decided to look for alternative accommodations in the nearby area. That's when we stumbled upon Ayrs and Graces, owned by the lovely Rhona. She quickly accommodated our last-minute reservation and what a dream experience it turned out to be. It was a complete contrast to our original camping plans - from campsites to a beautiful suite. Rhona and her husband Paul were incredibly friendly and shared with us the rich history of the area, along with suggestions on places to visit. We even had the opportunity to spend some time in the dome on their property, which we highly recommend. The rooms were immaculate and the food was simply delicious. We can't thank them enough for making our trip to Scotland such a memorable one. Jeff & Becky 💚

Our sleep was easy and restful, even far from home. The beds and room were always fresh and inviting, with the Burns room particularly memorable. The Ayrs and Graces' location is bucolic and peaceful but also just minutes from historical sites. Our private veranda had a beautiful, panoramic view of the Alloway countryside, like something from the brush of Constable. Our hosts were warm and embracing, making us feel completely at home. The breakfast experience was superb, the food plentiful and delicious, the service attentive. Morning conversation with our hosts was always convivial and helpful to our plans for each day. Both of our hosts were indefatigably helpful and engaged. Often, they seemed to anticipate our comfort and needs, even making first night dinner reservations for us at an excellent local restaurant in advance of our arrival. It was a great comfort to have a stable, welcoming home base for our week in Scotland. In-room wifi access was particularly welcomed in helping us keep in touch with home during our stay.
