The Monsal Trail runs right past Broadroods Farm Campsite, offering direct access from your pitch to this popular traffic-free route. Cycle or stroll to the soaring Headstone Viaduct, or head the other way into Bakewell – just a couple of miles off – to sample a tart from the famous pudding shop. This working farm sits in the heart of the Peak District National Park, surrounded by spectacular countryside and within easy reach of Chatsworth Estate, Haddon Hall and the historic plague village of Eyam.

The setup here is deliberately pared-back: flat grass pitches with space to breathe, portable toilets, a dog run, and little else to distract from the birdsong and star-filled skies. There's no hot water or lighting after dark, so bring a torch and embrace the simplicity. Barbecues are welcome – stock up in pretty Ashford in the Water, a 15-minute walk away, where you'll find a couple of pubs, a café and a well-stocked shop. A local brewery is about 10 minutes on foot.

Lovely little campsite set in a beautiful and delightful little pub a short walk away. It was quite at night, no music and loud talking. I slept near the shower block so I could use the WiFi, which was perfect. Shower block and toilets are only small so expect a wait. If it wasn't for this I would of given a higher score.

We stayed for 4 nights had a lovely time. Showers clean & washing up area clean. Staff on site were very helpful. Definitely go back.
