What visitors say
Just spent 4 nights here and I can't fault it. The campsite was very well maintained. Loved all the different secluded camping fields. Owners really accommodating and friendly. Facilities were kept clean and tidy. Dog friendly as long as they are on a leash. ( livestock in neighbouring fields) Keep an eye out for Betty the frenchie who does her rounds with the owner. This site is in a beautiful location, really well situated for checking out some of the local attractions. Lots of walks starting from the vicinity both loops or joining longer trails. Bakewell is definitely worth visiting for the bakery alone, but we also had a fantastic takeaway curry from the restaurant just next to the bridge.

Today proved to me that there are still genuine kind people out there! I was supporting twenty+ runners doing a 50km run today that took in Monyash as part of the route. I had unfortunately run out of water for the next aid station. When I asked the owner of the campsite, he kindly said I was very welcome to use the drinking water tap to fill up my containers. Myself and the runners can’t thank him enough for his kind gesture, particularly as the day became warmer than anticipated. Very friendly and helpful, would recommend a visit😁

Have been to this campsite 4 times in the past 3 years, and I love it. Reasonably priced, good, clean facilities, great location with really nice walks nearby, and a solid pub up the road with a pool table. Staff have always been friendly and helpful, with a relaxed energy that I've found attracts relaxed customers who are respectful and tidy. Everyone wins.

Nice view but owners attitude Is awful towards people. Not worth the trip - edit- for a response to the owner, there isn't a chat function, Google reviews aren't a Facebook sort of comment / argue back system, and we don't wish to have a conversation for you to figure out which guest we were when we stayed with you. We are giving a review of the experience we got from you during our stay and future guests deserve to see.
