What visitors say
A nice estate that has a good mix of things to do and see, the café is quite good but slightly overpriced, there is a large and very good second hand bookshop, although once again the prices are on the higher side. There are several shops that range from arts and crafts to expensive clothing, the art gallery is also worth checking out. The gardens are beautiful and worth seeing. There's a plant nursery, and timber shop that's very good, we got some live edge timber from it at a pretty good price. Definitely go for a walk by the river, the scenery is stunning and there's lots of wildlife. If you are willing to walk for a while then I recommend you go to Randolph's Leap, you can find out about it at the small but quite good heritage centre. All in all it is well worth a visit if you are in the area, as it caters to a wide range of interests and has particularly good walks from it.
