I stayed here for 2 nights at this lovely guest house. Rachel & Wayne were so accommodating and made me feel so welcome they couldn't do enough for me. The breakfast was outstanding. Rachel even left me a bottle of Pomegranate Shower Gel to take home because i mentioned how nice it was. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip up to the Lakes. The room was not clean. We arrived shortly before 11 p.m., and the host scolded us for five minutes, despite no check-in deadline being specified anywhere. The next day, the host canceled our booking online but still charged us—likely to avoid paying fees to the booking platform. Overall, it is a unpleasant experience for us.

We are Canadians and spent almost three weeks here because my wife was hospitalized a couple of kilometers down the road. Rachel and Wayne were fabulous. They were helpful in every possible way during our stay and really took an interest and supported us during our adventures with the UK NHS. Thank you so much to both of you - there aren't enough words to recommend East Mount House highly enough! Nice, clean rooms, enormous breakfasts, and first-class hosts... a great stay!
