Barrow-in-Furness sits on the edge of the Lake District and close to Walney Island, making it a handy stop for visitors keen to explore either without paying Lake District prices. Premier Inn Barrow-in-Furness gives them a base right on North Road, close to the town centre and its local attractions, across three floors with a lift for easy access.
The 105 rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, and guests can expect them clean, comfortable and quiet, with reliable hot water and free WiFi throughout. There's a restaurant and bar on site for evening meals and drinks, plus breakfast available in the morning, and 24 hour reception for late arrivals. Beyond the hotel there's fishing, golf, watersports and a choice of nearby pubs and restaurants, giving guests plenty to fill an evening or a free afternoon before heading further into Cumbria.
What guests say
Excellent hotel, made even better by Amy & Shelley!. I regularly use Premier Inns, but the team at the Barrow-in-Furness branch really stands out. The hotel itself is in a great location, right next to the Dock Museum, quiet, and very well-kept.What prompted me to write this review is the outstanding customer service from Shelley. From the moment I checked in, she handled everything with absolute professionalism. She was incredibly welcoming, sorted out our room requirements effortlessly, and bent over backwards to ensure we had a comfortable visit. Shelley is an absolute credit to the hotel and a major reason why I highly recommend staying here

Spacious family room, good location with onsite parking (daily charge for it). Close to center of barrow for shops. Great buffet breakfast at the brewers fair next door. Good place to stay with children.

Lovely hotel and very helpful friendly staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The food was good. Really enjoyed our stay. But wasn't impressed with the town, derelict basically.

not being able to get a hotel to sleep in because its midnight and the receptionist not having a way to book a room while standing onsite is the most asinine thing I've ever experienced in my life. Like what big idiots in charge decided that they dont like money and would rather have empty rooms then allow someone to pay to sleep in them regardless of what time they showed up
