The Barn

Couples and small families will find The Barn suits a weekend away or longer break in the heart of the East Midlands. This converted barn on the owner's grounds sits beside the Chesterfield canal, putting you within reach of Lincoln, York, Gainsborough and Retford. The nearest pub is a mile away; shops are four miles off. One dog is welcome to stay with you.

Two bedrooms with single beds are on the ground floor—one room has three beds, the other two, plus a flexible sleeping space. The bathroom with bath and shower is also downstairs. Upstairs, the living room and dining room occupy the first floor, positioned to catch whatever views the setting offers. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob and microwave for cooking proper meals. Heating is oil-fired and included, along with electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels. A wood burner is supplied with initial fuel.

The property comes with a lawned garden, seating area, barbecue and garden furniture. There is a small pond in the garden. Parking is ample and on-site. A cot and highchair are available, and a welcome pack is provided. No smoking inside. This is Mayflower Trail country if you want to explore that heritage, and the canal allows fishing by permit.
