About Ivanhoe Hotel and Inn

The Ivanhoe Hotel and Inn is a solid, traditional-feeling establishment on Saintfield Road, built around the idea of a hotel and inn combined, with 29 rooms and a bar that guests tend to describe as genuinely cosy rather than just decorative. The rooms themselves are modern, clean and comfortably sized, with drinks available in-room and room service on hand for anyone who prefers not to leave their floor.

Food is one of the hotel's strong points, with a restaurant turning out generous portions and a decent gluten-free selection, though it's worth knowing that prices can run a little higher than expected. The bar and restaurant nearby add further options for eating out, and facilities extend to a garden, lift access, free WiFi, meeting rooms and business services, making the place workable for both leisure stays and small work trips. Staff are consistently noted as attentive and friendly, which shapes much of the overall impression.

Free on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point make arriving by car straightforward, while the surrounding area offers walking routes, a nearby golf course and easy access to Lagan Valley and Belvoir Park for those wanting to get outdoors. It also operates as a wedding venue, with concierge and laundry services rounding out the practical side of a stay.

I’ve eaten at the Ivanhoe many times over the years — often as part of large groups — and it never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent, with great quality and generous portions. Even when dining with bigger party sizes, the service has always been smooth and well organised. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel welcome every time. The bar itself has a lovely cosy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing, and the pints of Guinness are top class. It’s a brilliant local spot that I’d happily recommend to anyone, whether for a meal or just a drink.

Decent hotel that has a very cool design, a large parking spot, impressive lounge and cozy bar alongside the building. Good place for groups. Only real downside is that they dont serve a buffet as breakfast, but instead take orders. And this is where the hotel feels understaffed, and the waiters did not really seem to be "up to par"

What an experience! We arrived today for Sunday lunch with no booking and it was fully booked even in the bar. The Manager Wallace noticed us on our way out and he stopped us to ask if we were okay and we explained there were no tables and our own fault. Instantly he went above and beyond and opened the even room which was all set up and took our order and waited on our table. The food was amazing!! But this review goes to Wallace and the experience he provided today to our family. He was brilliant and we will definitely be back and highly recommend! Great to see a busy hotel/restaurant and a Manager setting the standard!

€162 for the one night, king superior room. Site boasted of the free wifi, smart tv, ensuite. The only saving grace was the huge bed. Wifi didnt connect at all, would show connection and then take 10 mins to load anything. Smart tv wouldnt work because of the lack of wifi so couldnt watch anything. Spent 2 hours going back and forth about how the shower wouldnt produce any warm water. Did end up getting sorted by a kindly Lauren (yay lauren!) and trekked up the halls in pjs at 9pm to get our showers. For €162 it's not ideal. Had asked in request box upon booking for a silly little welcome note which was confirmed, but didn't find one in the room. Like it was good and all but you can hear anything happening in the hallway and i hoped when booking the superior room that we would get straight in to relax. Instead, it was a wait to shower and no movie in bed (classic relaxing ritual). Staff so nice. But cant see this being worth any more than €70. Did ask for an extended checkout to settle the inconvenience, but didnt get any confirmation so sadly it was out at 11. Guys im bitter
