About Ravenhill House
Ravenhill House is a Victorian redbrick townhouse on a quiet residential street in south Belfast, run as a small, personally hosted bed and breakfast rather than a commercial guesthouse. Rooms are simply but comfortably furnished, and the house has built a loyal following among repeat visitors who value the level of local knowledge and genuine welcome on offer.
Breakfast draws on home baking and locally sourced ingredients, including vegetarian options handled with more care than is typical for a small guesthouse, and is served in a bright dining room overlooking the garden.
The Ravenhill Road area sits a short bus ride from the city centre and within walking distance of the Ormeau Park and the Lagan towpath, making it a good option for visitors who want a quieter residential base with easy access into town.

What guests say
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent trip to Belfast and were delighted to discover Ravenhill House. It had been recommended to us and lived up to all our expectations. The hosts, Roger and Olive could not have been kinder and more attentive. The room was delightful and the breakfasts delicious and beautifully presented. I particularly liked that you could select and pay for just the items you wanted for breakfast, so there was no temptation to overeat 'to get your money's worth'. It provided a good base for exploring Belfast too, and was especially convenient for us visiting family living off the Ormeau Road. Thank you for a memorable visit, we will be back!

This was our first trip to Belfast and my husband and I are happy we chose to stay at this lovely B&B hosted by the wonderful Roger and Olive. Upon arrival, Roger carried our heavy luggage up the stairs to our room while Olive prepared us a pot of tea and provided us with much helpful information about their establishment and Belfast in general. All recommendations from them were spot-on and they were always responsive to any inquiries we had. Our room had a king size bed and was very comfortable. The rooms are very sound proof and we heard absolutely no noise from other guests or even from the city street at night. It was so quiet we often wondered if there were really other guests! (they were full). The bathroom, while small, had a nice size shower and quality toiletries. You can tell that they care about "clean" products. Breakfasts were cooked to order and we were impressed by the homemade bread and thoughtfulness of the ingredients and menu. Roger and Olive have done a remarkable job in creating a comfortable B&B experience, and there are plenty of shops and places to eat within an easy 10 minute walk. The bus stop is nearby making it easy to access the city core. I highly recommend Ravenhill House and would absolutely stay here again.

I can't thank Olive and Roger enough for their hospitality and kindness during my recent 10 day stay at Ravenhill House. This residence is a refuge, a sanctuary, a place of calm and peace. I stayed in the Morris Room on the top floor, decorated beautifully with wallpaper and fabrics by William Morris, one of the founders of the Arts and Crafts movement. My room was serviced every second day and not only did I have everything I could need, but if I asked for something, it was provided quickly and with great care. I enjoyed breakfast in the front room on the ground floor several times, sitting in the bay windows with fresh flowers from the garden on the table and organic, homemade bread and cereal, fruit and compotes. I enjoyed the 40min walk into Belfast many times, but also took Ubers and there is also a bus if needed. Nearby are some lovely places to eat. I enjoyed Shed Bistro immensely. Belfast was a very enjoyable trip for me, definitely made so by Olive and Roger looking after me so well at my home-base of Ravenhill House. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Belfast and I hope to come back some day!
