Some of the rooms show their age, though they're kept spacious and clean. There's a lift serving the three floors, plus laundry service and luggage storage for anyone passing through.
On site, guests can make use of a restaurant and bar, breakfast, packed lunches and kids' meals, along with an indoor swimming pool, gym, spa and sauna. Meeting rooms and business services suit those travelling for work, and concierge staff are on hand throughout. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking is provided for all guests.

We had a great stay. The staff were amazing throughout – friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. A special mention to Gwen at check-in, who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were comfortable and well presented. The only minor improvement would be to fit locks to the bed wheels, as the beds tended to move a little. Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of options, and the breakfast staff were just as friendly and attentive as the rest of the team. The housekeeping staff were also first class – helpful, professional and always happy to assist. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we would happily return

I had a back, neck, and shoulders massage with Jill at the DoubleTree Spa, and it was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, Jill made me feel completely relaxed and comfortable. She was professional, attentive, and really took the time to work on the areas that needed it most. The massage was incredibly relaxing, and I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and free of tension. I would highly recommend Jill to anyone looking for a fantastic massage experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Stayed here over valentines weekend and had a great stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff were accomodating when we asked for firmer pillows. Wifi speed in the room (and around the hotel) was excellent. Only downside was the TV was standard freeview, and we couldnt get the screen cast to work without buffering. The breakfast was adequate (not amazing - but solid). But we did have the £30 3-course valentines special evening meal which was well worth the money. Also just wanted to highlight the bar and waiting staff who went out their way to accomodate serving us in the non-restaraunt area so we could watch the rugby whilst having our meal. The leisure complex was feeling a little tired and could do with a spruce up - but perfectly serviceable. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and found it great value for what we paid for the couple of nights.

A lovely relaxing experience using our spa & lunch voucher. Massage by Lily was fantastic and made me feel at ease. Anne Marie served us at lunch and was so welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious too! Overall a wonderful experience, definitely recommend!
