What guests say
I knew before hand we had booked a very budget hotel as we were not expecting to spend a lot of time in the room . The reception area and bar is actually nice with friendly staff and decent choice of drinks . The room was a different story and fell short of what I would call basic. The bathroom window was painted shut so could not be opened , nor did the ceiling fan work . The bathroom door was hanging loose , had to be lifted to close it and the handle was buckled . The shower leaked out onto the floor creating a large puddle , and floor was rotting away . The shower was a total botch job, dirty , poorly finished and temperamental. The beds are basic but clean. We could just about lift the heavy bedroom sash window open , but we had to prop it up . The curtains didn't hold back much light and didn't fit well . There was a decent TV in the room but no kettle , which was a bit annoying but not the end of the world. Also no hanging area in ours , just 3 hooks on the back of the door. Poor decorating with peeling wall paper . Very dirty light switch . I was hoping for a very basic level of cleanliness and comfort which I sadly didn't get here .

Perfectly fine place to stay if all you're looking for is a cheap bed in a good location. If you struggle to sleep, though, I'd recommend investing in elsewhere. The mattress we had was lumpy and had both of us waking up with back pain. The curtains cannot be fully closed, so you will be waking up with the sun if you're the type who needs a dark room to sleep. Moreover the windows are only single glazed; if you're looking over the main street like we were, you will hear every drunk, seagull, and screaming child up and down the road. On our first night one of the neighbouring establishments was blasting music til 1am; loud enough that I could feel it through the walls. Not the hotel's fault, but still something to bear in mind. In terms of the room quality outside of sleeping, nothing to scream about. Holes in the walls, definite damp and mould problems; our bathroom door was near enough hanging off its hinges, making it a pain to open and close and VERY loud. That said the bedding was clean and free of stains, and we saw no evidence of bed bugs as other reviewers seem to have. The room was cold throughout our stay; at first we thought the radiator was busted but apparently its just set to go off if the temperature is "high" enough (set far too low if you ask me, I had to sleep in my hoodie to keep warm) and the single glazing does nothing to keep the heat in. No facilities to make a brew in the morning; the hotel allows you to take a kettle to your room but as far as we could tell you'd have to provide your own tea/coffee/milk/etc.. there was a brew machine downstairs, £1 per cup; my partner said the coffee was fine. I never went down to the bar but my partner enjoyed it well enough; there's a pool table and darts if that's your sort of thing. Location was fantastic; you can see Coral Island as soon as you step outside and there's the gorgeous TSP chippy right up the road if you're looking for a nice bite to eat on the cheap. Overall, you're paying for a cheap hotel and that's precisely what you're getting.

They will probably say this is a fake review like all the other honest reviews. If you want to see the real reviews check Trip Advisor, this place is an absolute dump, booked for 3 nights and couldn’t even stay 1 night due to the unbearable smell of cannabis all through the hotel and the terrible conditions this hotel is genuinely a health hazard it is filthy and unsafe. I have contacted booking.com to investigate the suspicious reviews, and the local council as this place is needing shut down. I have now had to contact the police as the hotel are refusing to refund my money and decided to ignore me, so I have now started the process of taking this further and presenting all my evidence to local authorities and press. This is by far the worst hotel in Blackpool!

We stayed over the Easter weekend The staff where fantastic, nothing was too much , they were very welcoming . The hotel is in a great location , close to the shops, beach and the tower . The down stairs is decorated beautifully The bedrooms them self were very cosy ,clean and quiet (apart from the seaguls 😂) The bar is a great space ,with a pool table ,bandits and plenty of seating .. we will definitely be returning in the coming weeks
