About Henson Hotel

Rooms at the Henson Hotel come with comfortable beds and are kept clean, though they run on the compact side and the decor could do with a refresh. Each of the 45 rooms is a simple base for exploring Blackpool rather than a destination in itself, but guests consistently find the beds a strong point after a day on their feet.

A continental breakfast is included, and there's a bar on site for an evening drink along with free WiFi throughout. Staff are on hand around the clock at the 24 hour reception, and luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. Free on-site parking is a genuine plus in a town where space can be hard to come by.

The location on Clifton Drive puts guests within easy reach of Blackpool Tower and Pleasure Beach, making it a practical choice for anyone planning to spend most of their time out and about rather than in their room.

I've stayed at The Henson quite a few times now. I have room 15 (cheeky sea view), and it's a really good size - even with my walker in there. Staff are lovely and will even take my bags up to my room for me. Away from town centre so nice and quiet - but only 2 minutes from the tram. Nice and clean, and a comfy bed

On arrival we was greated by a very friendly gentleman, who explained where our room was and said we have a sea view, bare in mind i booked a family room for 5! We was given a family room for 4 so we had to share a bed. Now the "family" room was on the third floor. Lift to the 2nd floor then stairs the rest of the way, thankfully we didnt have a baby with us as god help them stairs with a pram. Now the room looked okay ish, bathroom with shower and toilet, mis matched curtains and rusty curtain poles, the beds.. well if you like to scratch all night from bed bugs your in the right place, hard uncomfy mattress and one very thin pillow. As you can imagine zero sleep.. then down for breakfast in the morning at half 8, not a cooked breakfast as we assumed, but a continental breakfast in the same room as a huge pile of laundry and a shopping trolly. Lovely, lets not forget the argument between a member off staff and another paying customer over the hotel not having any hot dogs, then a comment to myself about the customer from the member of staff that was arguing,i wont repeat but lets just say it wasnt the most pleasant and quite a racist remark. Will NOT be coming back, do NOT recommend.. and trying to get money back isnt worth it.. avoid!

Warning this is more a hostel then a hotel Rooms were old damp and dirty Tv was the size of a iPad and didn’t work. Only 1 plug in room had to boil kettle on the floor with a toddler Paid for a breakfast for a yoghurt and bowl of cereal. No cooked food and very poor selection. I would never go back to this place even though the staff were friendly enough. Hotel is next to pleasure beach but that’s it

Just come back from a few days staying at henson hotel. This was the first time staying, but it won't the the last. Had a good room, as needed to put a wheelchair in room. Staff friendly, especially Pete, chatty, good to listen to and always pleasant. Parking good. Breakfast good choice, plenty of tea, coffee, toast etc. Thanks for lovely stay. Chris and Kev Constantine. Bury x
