Rob was an amazing host for our short day trip to Blackpool, catered after our needs and was very thorough about the check-in/out process. The hotel is situated rather conveniently across the road from Pleasure Beach Blackpool as well as Sandcastles water park and the Velvet coaster Wetherspoons. Any extra amenities that were needed in the room could be found downstairs and we were able to just help ourselves when needed. One slight exception I need to mention is there was a lack of toilet roll provided inside of the room however I was able to get it from downstairs. For £23 a night it's impossible to complain about the value and the quality of the hotel. I would happily stay at this hotel again if I need to plan a last minute trip out to Blackpool.

Wouldn’t even give this place 1 star. Me and my family had 2 nights booked here, with a double room (Room 1) and a triple room (Room 10). We didn’t have high expectations due to how cheap it was, but I’ve genuinely stayed in hostels that were cleaner and better maintained than this place. At first glance the rooms looked a little outdated but acceptable until we took a closer look. Both rooms were absolutely filthy. Room 1: The mattress had short black hairs all over it (none of us have short dark hair), the bathroom mirror was covered in toothpaste/spit marks, and the TV remote had food crumbs on it. The floor was also dirty. The small heater had some sort of spillage marks all over it, and there was dust everywhere: on the windows, window ledges, lampshades, table, and even the kettle. There was no toilet paper, no bath mat, and the shower was tiny and covered in mould. Room 10: The room absolutely stunk of smoke. There was hardly enough space for a double bed, let alone a double and a single. The drawers were broken, the mugs were dirty, and the wallpaper was barely holding onto the wall. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures advertised, there was no fridge, no white bedding as shown, everything was very outdated, and the walls were paper thin. After checking in, I raised all of these issues with the owner. His response was that he had been in a rush and “missed a few things” while cleaning. When I pointed out that the rooms looked nothing like the photos online, he simply said they hadn’t updated the pictures, despite running the place for over a year. The next morning we woke up to a very strong smell of weed. We had two young children with us, who were already dealing with dust and the smell of smoke in the room and now this as well. We had 2 nights booked but ended up checking out on day 2 of our trip. It’s a real shame because the location was great, but the hotel completely let us down.

⚠️ WARNING: ABSOLUTE SAFETY RISK – DO NOT STAY HERE ⚠️ Our recent stay at this property was, without exaggeration, the most distressing and frightening experience we have ever had at a paid accommodation. What was supposed to be a simple budget weekend away turned into a 5:00 AM survival ordeal that left us feeling physically unsafe. The Property & Hygiene: First impressions were appalling. The room bore almost no resemblance to the images online; it was severely dated, grim, and clearly has not seen a deep clean or a "refresh" in years. The entire building reeked of a heavy, pungent smell of cannabis from the moment we stepped through the door. To top it off, the room was sweltering, but we were trapped in the heat because opening a window meant inviting in the screaming and abuse occurring directly outside. Violence and Constant Noise: The "atmosphere" was one of pure hostility. From the moment we arrived until sunrise, we were subjected to: Violent Altercations: Neighbors were fighting, screaming, and slamming doors throughout the entire night. Targeted Abuse: A woman spent hours in the alleyway shouting vitriol up at a man in a room above us, which then sparked a shouting match through the windows with the people in the room next to ours. Zero Intervention: The owners were on-site during this entire collapse of order and did nothing. No one was evicted, no one was told to be quiet, and no security was called. We felt far too intimidated to report it at the time, as we were surrounded by multiple groups of people acting with extreme aggression. The Breaking Point: The most terrifying moment was having strangers attempt to turn our door handle and enter our room in the middle of the night. Had we not had a drink earlier in the evening, we would have packed our bags and fled the property at 3:00 AM. Summary: This place is not just "basic"—it is a volatile and dangerous environment. The low price point is not an excuse for a complete lack of security and basic human decency. Save your money, save your sanity, and stay anywhere else. This business is an absolute disgrace to the hospitality industry.

We booked 2 rooms here for our family, from the start everything was lovely, the owner was very helpful and polite and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable, the rooms are all well kept and clean and tidy and we will return again when we visit Blackpool 😊
