About Oak Lea Hotel

Oak Lea Hotel occupies a row of terraced buildings on Albert Road, the kind of solid Victorian frontage typical of Blackpool's seafront streets, and it has been fitted out as a straightforward, family-friendly hotel within easy reach of the Tower. The rooms are a particular strength, with guests regularly finding them larger than expected and the en-suite bathrooms well appointed, though it's worth noting that some rooms show their age and could do with more attention to upkeep.

Facilities cover the essentials and then some, including a restaurant and bar, a snack bar, room service, and a lift for those who'd rather not manage the stairs. Breakfast is a highlight, with a buffet spread that comes in for consistent praise, and the staff are noted for being helpful and for adding a bit of entertainment to the stay. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, along with free WiFi, laundry service, and an electric vehicle charging point for those who've driven up.

Albert Road puts guests within walking distance of Blackpool's main attractions, with pubs, restaurants and entertainment all nearby, and golf, fishing, watersports and cycling routes available for those wanting to venture further afield. It suits visitors who want a central base and don't mind a slightly worn edge in exchange for space and a proper cooked breakfast.

Really nice and clean room in an excellent location near all the attractions and the beach. Hospitality was amazing and the owners were really nice. Rooms were with nice bathrooms and showers and were very spacious. Overall would recommend a lot

Place was absolutely disgusting we had to move hotel we where in this hotel for 10 minutes maximum This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was absolutely disgusting — there was mould on the ceiling, holes in the ceiling and walls, and a horrible smell that hit us the moment we walked in. It felt dirty, unsafe, and completely neglected. I honestly cannot believe this hotel thinks it’s acceptable to rent rooms in this condition. Basic cleanliness and maintenance were clearly ignored. We where expecting a comfortable stay and instead got a room that looked unhealthy and poorly cared for. I wouldent have even been comfortable to have kept my belongings in this place when we where making our way to the room there was peoples doors wide open I would never stay here again and would strongly warn others to avoid this hotel unless they want to deal with terrible hygiene, awful smells, and shocking room conditions. Also the man that runs at as well we brought our stuff down to the man that Owen’s the place and gave him they keys back and all he could do was look at us

DO NOT BOOK!!!! New owners and no chef no bar no water no Kettle nothing only a room for a bed! And the rooms are a mess! Missing draws dirty and smelly owner constantly spraying every where! They have also took our money and we booked through booking.com and booking.com have blocked us on email and not responding at all! We had to go through our bank! DO NOT BOOK!

Room was fine but I got absolutely destroyed by bedbugs. Must be a bad infestation as I woke up with about 50 bites after only a few hours of sleep. Would have told the staff but they never seem to be around. Avoid!
