About The Fern Royd

A cooked breakfast is included at The Fern Royd, an adults-only bed and breakfast on Holmfield Road in Blackpool, setting guests up for a day near the seafront without any early rush thanks to the flexibility of 24 hour reception. Drinks can be brought up to the room, and there's a garden with outdoor seating for anyone who prefers to relax outside rather than head straight out.

Rooms are en-suite and come with free WiFi, and practical touches like luggage storage make the place easy to use whether you're staying a night or longer. Free on-site parking is a genuine plus in a town where that can be hard to come by.

Blackpool's attractions, restaurants, pubs and entertainment are all within easy reach, and the surrounding area suits walking and cycling as well as golf, fishing and watersports for those wanting to get further afield. It's a straightforward, well-run base for exploring the town rather than a destination in itself.

An amazing stay at the Fern Royd, Trudi and Malcolm couldn't have been better hosts if they tried! nothing was too much trouble and they take a real interest in their guests individually and you feel like you are part of the family. The room was clean and very pleasant. If I have to mention a negative it would be no fan (we did stay during a heat wave, we were offered a fan but had taken our own anyway) Breakfast was cooked fresh and to a very high standard. Malcolm your eggs were perfect- thank you. If we are back in Blackpool we won't hesitate to stay here again, and would highly recommend the Fern Royd to anyone. Close to the sea, beautiful gardens, bars, shops and eateries.

We were welcomed in to Fern Royd as though we were friends, it was so relaxing, we were shown where things were, asked what time we would like to have breakfast and also what was available for breakfast, we were told about the wifi and also about the keys, which was for the front door and which was for our rooms, it was explained where are rooms were. I was amazed when I opened the door to my room, I had a 4 poster bed it was lovely. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk & sugar were on the side along with a couple of biscuits. The room was spotless and was very spacious. The bed was so comfortable and I slept really well. Overall fantastic and will revisit in the future.

Just arrived home today after a three night stay. Malcolm and Trudy were brilliant hosts and are extremely friendly nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent and the ground floor room we stayed in included a sitting room and was very clean. Can't fault this place, I would recommend it to friends and family and will return on my next visit to Blackpool. Thanks for a great stay.
