About The Oxfordshire Hotel
Breakfast is included at The Oxfordshire Hotel, setting guests up for a day exploring Blackpool before returning to a bar and outdoor seating area in the evening. Drinks can also be brought straight to the room, a small touch that suits those who prefer to unwind away from communal spaces.
This is an adults-only hotel on Wellington Road, with en-suite bathrooms throughout and a bridal suite for those booking around a wedding, which the hotel also caters for as a venue. Free WiFi, luggage storage and 24-hour reception cover the practical side of a stay, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward.
Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area offers walking and cycling routes, golf and fishing nearby, plus pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach for evenings out. Watersports are also available nearby for anyone wanting to make more active use of the coast.
What guests say
We have recently stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights whilst visiting Blackpool for afternoon tea at the Tower Ballroom and a day at the Pleasure Beach. Sam, the owner, couldn't have been more welcoming. Showed to our room, room 3 on the ground floor, which had everything we needed for a short stay, including a full 'under counter' sized fridge with milk, water and orange juice and a couple of yoghurts (part of the continental breakfast option we purchased for one of the days). Along with plenty of tea and coffee, we also had (as part of our breakfast option), individual packets of Cornflakes, pain au chocolat, cakes, biscuits and chocolate and cream filled croissants. The cleanliness of the room and the ensuite shower room was better than any big hotel chain we have stayed with - we couldn't fault it. Bed was comfortable, good sized towels and toiletries supplied. A really useful file gave us all the information we needed regarding restaurants, cafes, taxi companies and things to do. There is no allocated parking available but free on street parking is an option, we couldn't park on Wellington Road on this occasion but parked in the next street but there are paid car parks nearby. It is equi-distance from the tower and the pleasure beach, so an absolutely perfect location, despite being just off the main promenade, it was surprisingly quiet at night, other than the seagulls of course - it is the seaside!!!! We struck lucky with this little hotel, it is a hidden gem and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sam and her husband (who we did not meet due to unforeseen circumstances) to anyone wishing to have a few nights in Blackpool. We only hope that everyone treats this lovely hotel and the fabulous hosts with the care and respect that they whole heartedly deserve!

We stayed using a 2 night stay voucher gifted to us. Greeted by the nice welcoming friendly owner, immaculate room, toiletries and towels were provided along with a fridge with tea & coffee making facilities with fresh milk provided. The location is great, and central to everything. Happy and comfortable stay.

First time in Blackpool, was originally booked for 2 nights but stayed for 4 nights. You were made very welcome by the hosts Sam & Bob. Forgot to take pics but was a double room, had a chesterdrawers, hairdryer ,tv,a fancy chair, bedside tables with lamps, even a fan, then had another room leading off with a small dining table with 2 chairs, small fridge, kettle tea/coffee,x2 plates/bowls & cutlery, ironing board/iron, then through to the bathroom.which had a new shower was very modern,(fresh towels & Robes)both rooms had central heating also.theres even a A4 booklet which is a good read with local history info of Blackpool, restuarants that are local etc.. this has had alot of thought into it. As you enter the hotel there is a vending machine, which is handy,if weathers not good & need a few snacks. Everything has been thought out for local places to go,taxi numbers as you enter. When visiting Blackpool again we will definitely be returning, this Hotel is like a home from home, very friendly people. Would be great if breakfast was on the menu. Highly recommend.
