What guests say
We had a fantastic stay at the Royal Boston Hotel and would highly recommend it. The staff were absolutely lovely and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Amy on reception was friendly, professional, and always happy to help. Ashleigh was amazing throughout our stay, assisting with adding extras such as breakfast and sorting out our bookings efficiently. The hot breakfast was excellent, and our room was comfortable, clean, and well-presented. A special thank you to Chloe and Tim in the restaurant, who were both great throughout our stay. They were always friendly, attentive, and very fast with their service, helping to make every meal enjoyable. A special mention also goes to Darren and Marshall on the bar, who provided great service and helped create a friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. The entertainment just keeps getting better every time we visit. It was great to see Caine Ward and Paul Mac back again. Angels Elite were simply outstanding – wow, wow, wow! One of the best shows on the Prom, performing all kinds of music and keeping everyone entertained. Rio, the compère, was fantastic as always. He was friendly, funny, and always took the time to ask guests how they were doing, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone at the Royal Boston Hotel for another wonderful stay. We can't wait to return!

I stayed in May 2026 and it had all the facilities needed for a weekend stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a restaurant with breakfast and dinner options that you can book if you want to (I didn’t as there were no vegan options). There is a bar and entertainment at night with a terrace to sit outside. It’s right on the seafront and quieter than the centre which I liked. The tram stops right outside. I had a small single room which had quite a spacious wardrobe and fan. I couldn’t open my window so it was very hot and uncomfortable at night but that was the only downside.

Great location. Easily accessible for walking and use of trams. Close to the beach. Booked 2 twin rooms for myself and family. Rooms were very basic as were the bathrooms. Beds were not very comfortable. Bedside light in one room didnt work and was missing light shade. Bathrooms were very dated and cramped. Check in and check out were easy. The hotel bar was lovely and reasonably priced. Didnt have food at hotel as we were out and about. The view from the outside terrace area from the bar was lovely. Outside space was very basic but clean. Bar man who worked on the Saturday (cant remember his name. Tall with a bald head) was really helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the noise from the entertainment was very loud until late at night and took a while to relax and get to sleep. Rooms were not very soundproof as I could here alot of the music and people talking etc and echoed in the hallways and into the Rooms.

I travel a lot. And the reason for this staycation was my birthday this time. I booked a triple room with sea view from booking.com. I have seen all the photos they have provided for this room and decided to book. I was utterly disappointed after checking in when I found that I have got a totally different room. The room and bathroom were not nearly similar with the photos. The room doesn’t have proper curtains even. I informed to the reception, they said they can’t do anything. I have told them that I came here to celebrate my birthday. Please dont ruin it. They didn’t care to listen to me at all. I informed booking.com as well. They offered me 16 pound refund as a token of appreciation. I came all the way from cardiff doing 6 hours drive, to celebrate my very special day with my husband and kid, paid 185 pound for this room where they didn’t even provided me what showed me—— they have decided to make it even with 16 pound credit refund. They thought that I have done all this hustle for 16 pound refund. I even asked for a non sea view room but at least little better. Unfortunately they literally didn’t bother. I will not recommend this hotel to my friends and family at all. I even will not use booking.com anymore. This hotel management has ruined my birthday, my special day.
