The Sandalwood

I have stayed at the Sandalwood from May to June 2026. I called at the last minute and they accommodated me. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable and simply beautiful, just what I needed. The service went beyond my expectations. Both Monica and Mark, the owners were caring, kind, friendly, most hospitable and professional at the time. I really appreciate their care, kindness and hospitality. And I can't forget Max my boyfriend and Nala the princess, who greeted me whenever I came back to the hotel, as if I were a part of the family. Those two are absolutely adorable. It's the perfect location for a holiday, honeymoon, a get away or even in my case, a place to stay if you have a contract work . It close to the sea side, safe and quiet. I will not hesitate the recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay near the sea shore. And the price is just right. Abigail

A decent place to stay in Blackpool. Mark and Monica (and Max!) are great hosts and always made me feel comfortable and welcome, very accommodating. They were always very transparent about things which was great. The hotel is about a 20-30 minute walk or about a 5-10 minute tram ride or bus ride away from Blackpool city centre. Although it was out the way, I enjoyed staying in the more peaceful end of Blackpool. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and takeaways around the area however Mark and Monica appreciate it if you don’t have takeaways in the hotel. I stayed in a single room which had everything you could need. The only things I would note is that breakfast isn’t included in the hotel and although the location has everything it could need, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to make a few more updates to decor etc. to modernise to place however I understand that it helps with keeping the price low and Mark and Monica are still fairly new owners to this location. The toilet also wasn’t amazing at flushing. I was overall very happy with my stay and experience at The Sandalwood and should I find myself in Blackpool again I would happily return to The Sandalwood. It’s great value for money and it’s just simply a lovely place to stay.

Mark & Monica were very welcoming, good communication and good customer service. So local to north pier and area was nice and quiet for a short romantic holiday. Well worth the money. We would stay again. Can highly recommend. Thanks again
