About Travelodge Blackpool South Promenade

Travelodge Blackpool South Promenade suits families and couples after a no-fuss seaside break rather than a lavish getaway. Set near the seafront on Balmoral Road, it puts Pleasure Beach, tram links and the town's attractions within easy reach, making it a practical choice for a day at the coast or a night out on the Promenade.

The hotel has 79 en-suite rooms across four floors, with accessible rooms available and drinks available in-room. There's a restaurant on site serving breakfast, including a full English and pancakes, along with a 24-hour reception and a lift. Pets are welcome, which adds to its appeal for travellers bringing their dog along for the trip.

Beyond the hotel, guests can walk to nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, with golf, fishing and watersports also within reach for those wanting more than the beach. On-site parking is available under the hotel for a charge, though spaces can be limited, so arriving early or checking ahead is worth doing.

The location is really nice, the nearest tram stop is only about a 3 minute walk. I’d say that’s the only good part of this hotel honestly. Previously before we even stayed here a family member had stayed here before and left their charger not even 24 hours after they realised we had went to the hotel desk and rang and told them the situation they said they would “check” for a charger and get back to us… long story short they didn’t we rang them back and went in and said there was no charger. Pretty sure the staff took it home Now when we stayed.. last night for 2 nights. Upon arrival we got our cards and went straight into the room. The bathroom was atrocious. The bath was covered in drips of dirt, the taps and handles where covered in a thick layer of soap scum, the bottom of the bath was not even kidding brown, there was dark pubic hair in the bath tub… I’m light blonde.. If this didn’t already make me feel disgusted I opened the bin to find a load of blood and dirt all over the lid of the bin. Other people in the hotel was complaining as well about how dirty it is and how it’s a rip off compared to holiday inn who have breakfast and internet included and nice clean rooms. Absolutely would not recommend at all, save yourself the hastle and go to holiday inn or even premier inn. Absolute waste of money. They also promoted disability friendly but they give you bath tubs with walls that you can’t even get into to as the walls are too high.

No disabled parking and if there is you better get here before 6am otherwise parking charge £8 for 24 hours next door. Parking next door hasn't got any easy access way to the hotel and every one goes under this broken side gate at the back of the carpark to get to the front of the hotel. carpark needs a better access to the hotel. But as always in the UK it's privately owned and there not bothered about your access to the hotel sadly. Room 308 was basic very weird shape. The TV was tiny and to small for the room size . The Room was definitely not the cleanest. Hairs and stains in both bathroom and on the beds The bath size is more for kids very small. Hotel doors extremely heavy and a disabled person wouldn't be able to manage without help. If your not disabled this location wouldn't be a problem. Staff at the reception where helpful but will keep you waiting while they chat away to collages first. You can tell there was a lack of interest in what you had to say. I would recommend not paying more than the cheapest rate around £42 not a penny more because don't forget parking charge applies.

Stayed in room 103 - room had a very strong unpleasant smell when we entered, no matter if we left windows open or aired out the room the smell would return so was coming from something inside. Toilet paper was half empty and on the floor when we came in, not on the holder. Constant loud clicking sound could be heard if windows were open in all hours of day and night, if windows were shut fould still hear it faintly. Service was good, person who served us was sweet. Breakfast was OK, we ate around 8 am and a number of the items were gone and not refilled for the hour we were sat in the breakfast area.
