About Wave Crest Hotel
Rooms at Wave Crest Hotel are kept simple: each of the 26 rooms has an en-suite bathroom, and there are family rooms available for those travelling with children. Don't expect frills, but the basics are covered, and free WiFi is provided throughout. Pets are welcome too, which makes this a practical option for guests who don't want to leave the dog behind.
Downstairs there's a restaurant and two bars, plus an indoor swimming pool and a spa and sauna for guests wanting to unwind after a day on the seafront. Breakfast is included, and the hotel also has a garden and holds licences for weddings. Luggage storage is available for those arriving early or leaving late.
The hotel sits within reach of Blackpool Tower and the Pleasure Beach, and there's plenty nearby in the way of pubs, restaurants and entertainment, along with a golf course for anyone wanting to fit in a round. It's a straightforward, no-nonsense base for exploring the town rather than a destination in itself.
What guests say
PLEASE BEWARE. I stayed here from 15th Aug - 17th Aug as a trip to Pleasure beach for my daughter's birthday. I arrived after 9pm. It was very poorly lit on the street and the entrance to the 'car park' was dark and so narrow I couldn't believe it. I had actually accidentally parked in the car park at the hotel next door before realising I was in the wrong area. Upon entering the Wave crest I paid £20 cash and entered details on a digital device to cover parking for my duration there. The beds where comfy but the property dated and not well kept. We paid extra for breakfast which was lovely and the hosts were courteous and approachable. A great walking distance to all attractions. Skip a few months later and I then received not one but 2 parking fines for Wave crest and the hotel next door (which I was in for several minutes). I have asked the owner of the Wave crest about this. They offered to contact the parking fine issuer and asked for me to email details. I have not heard any updates from the hotel owner and I am still receiving fine letters.
