Barken
Gwynedd
Barken is a detached log cabin on the Trawsfynydd Holiday Village, sleeping up to six across two bedrooms and a sofa bed. One bedroom has a double bed, the other holds bunks, and a sofa bed in the living room provides extra sleeping space. A shower room and kitchen complete the ground-floor layout. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen and wifi—are included. One dog stays free of charge.
The cabin works well for families with children, couples seeking a retreat, or small groups wanting their own space. The open-plan living area centres on an electric wood burner and flows into a kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals. Outside, a private garden comes with seating, a firepit, and a small stream running through the grounds—the latter unfenced, so worth noting if young children are with you. Parking for two cars is on site. A shared launderette is available.
From here, Bala's lake and water sports lie within easy reach, and Llechwedd Slate Caverns and Zip World are nearby attractions. The setting is rural and wooded rather than remote; you'll find yourself surrounded by nature but not cut off. No smoking is permitted inside.
