The facilities are pared-back (an old farm toilet, water supply, Elsan point – no showers) but the setting is peaceful, the warden helpful, and the location proves surprisingly handy: the A923 runs close enough for easy access to Blairgowrie (five minutes) and Dunkeld (15 minutes), yet road noise barely registers.
It's adults-only, though well-behaved dogs are welcome and there's a half-mile walk from site. Some might find the setup a touch basic, but the steady stream of return visitors suggests Quarryhill gets the fundamentals right. Perth, Dundee, Tay Forest Park walking routes and a clutch of castles all lie within easy reach – a straightforward, no-frills base for exploring Perthshire.

After our first stay at Quarryhill camping ground we have both decided this will be the place we visit as we start out on our Scotland road trips in the future. The peace and unspoilt beauty was enough to keep us for an extra night on our way back to Cornwall! Golden hour walks through a wooded area hugging the side of the hill up to the interesting ruin - the light on the trees and the stillness we’ll never forget. We had a wonderful walk around the loch and church. If you’d like peace and a little bit of magic I don’t think you’d go far wrong visiting here. Sandy I think is up there with the kindest. If the peace isn’t enough to draw us back then just saying hello to Sandy is! Thank you.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the site. It is beautifully located in the hills with a wonderfully maintained lawn. Sandy is just a marvelous host and takes great care of the site and it's visitors. Would absolutely recommend Quarryhill for an overnight stay or longer! You might even get to meet Dash, Sandy's lovely cat who roams the site!

We booked a 2 night stay and stayed another 3 nights. Small site, 7 hardstanding and 5 on grass. Water and bins all close to pitches. Toilet is clean and well equipped Elsan point Lovely walks around Sandy the owner is a gentleman very helpful when asked about the area. He is busy on site, so leave a message if you don't get him on the phone, and keep trying. Site is in the middle of the countryside, no bar or shop, but Blairgowrie is only 3 miles away. We enjoyed our time away so much, we are going back in a few weeks time. 👍👌

We love it here. Grounds are well looked after. Quirky wee toilet. Chickens roaming around. Beautiful scenery.Surrounded by nature. Beautiful place to be. Very peaceful. Sandy is lovely. True gentleman!
