What guests say
An absolutely recommendable stay at Tigh na Leigh. The house is decorated with exquisite taste, noticeable in every corner, and it makes you feel right at home from the very first moment. The garden is a real delight: it invites you to wander through it at a leisurely pace, with its greenhouses and even a few animals that give it a special charm. The breakfasts are spectacular and varied, with options to choose from every day, and on some days of the week they also offer dinner (and by the way, Graham is a wonderful cook!). Thanks to Karen and Graham, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Alyth is perfectly located for day trips by car, and their tips on places to visit proved really useful. Without a doubt, a place we wholeheartedly recommend.

An amazing stay at Tigh Na Leigh in Alyth. The best room with a bathtub with jacuzzi. Beautiful garden to be in outside if nice weather. The beds were great to sleep in, and the room light and comfortable. The breakfast was in a marvelous dining hall, and the food was superb. The host was friendly and gave super service with suggestions for things to do and see nearby. I would highly recommend to stay here if ever in Alyth.

Please read till the end....Not good at all. Not dog friendly only dog tolerant ( nothing provided for our dog except a plastic dog mat) as per another review. We arrived really looking forward to our stay but from the start it was awful Greeted by Graham? We were friendly and polite but everything changed when he asked if we were going out to dinner and we told him we had a picnic with us as they don't offer a menu on Fridays which just triggered a long lecture about dirty guests leaving rooms filthy. ( We totally understood that and said so but we were told we couldn't eat anywhere else in the BnB) We were most definitely sent packing out of the BnB to eat! We asked what time breakfast was served as it was included...it didn't start till 7.45 which was too late for us but no alternative offered except another lecture on how hard they worked and they needed their rest. Next we were shown the dining room and told the dog wasn't allowed in the garden ( we understood that) and told this was where they served breakfast!!!??? Next when shown our room we received another lecture about filthy people who don't clean up after their dogs and throw poo bags in hedges! When my husband went to pay for the accommodation he received another lecture/ tirade!! As guests we felt we were tard with the same brush as dirty guests and unresponible dog owners. If it hadn't been so late we would have left. We run our own BnB and would never treat our guests so shabbily or unprofessionally. We found a picnic spot well away from this BnB to eat but by that time as a result of the lectures we received we were upset and didn't want to eat anything. ...we stayed in our room as we didn't want to come across this awful man again and be subjected to further tirades about something. He made us feel absolutely awful....like rubbish. We are clean , honest, decent, educated people and always treat other people's BnB, hotels like we treat our own home...with great respect...he made us feel like we were scum, absolute nobodies. We have never been treated like this before at a place like this...he truly upset us. We will never ever go anywhere near this dreadful place ever again or this awful pompous man . Avoid at all costs!!!
