Small museum with some increasing fossils and other items. Will only take about 15 minutes to see everything

Tiny but lovely. You could walk round this one room museum and be out in thirty seconds though to do it justice would take much longer. The usual collection of local finds of fossils and artefacts one might expect from a town museum. The finds were generally well interpreted, I only spotted one error and that was for something I believe to be more interesting than they think it is. The local industry section explaining the horse drawn iron ore railway to the docks was interesting.

Good little museum, covering the history of the town and the people that made their lives here. It's free to visit, with optional donations. We found quite a lot that interested us and kept us interested for half an hour, so it was well worth a little donation for help with the running costs. We were so glad we popped in for a visit as it brought the story of the port to life for us and made our visit to the town. Thankyou.
