Fabulous site to use as a base to enjoy exploring the lakes from. Lovely staff, good pitches, clean facilities and just a short walk from Lake Windermere and the town of Bowness. Trees were full of wildlife including 3 baby owls, first time seeing one in the wild. Both site and town were very dog friendly, we really enjoyed our 12 night stay.

This is one of our favourite campsites. Spacious and well kept pitches. Nice and clean toilet and shower facilities. Helpful and pleasant staff. The site is ideally positioned for an easy 15 mins walk into Bowness, or, around 30 mins and a slight uphill climb into Windermere town centre.

A great site easy to access nice warm welcome on arrival It rained day and night for the 3 days we were there site and pitches stood up to the weather Spotless toilets and showers Has a dog wash too And a good motorhome service point A short walk to the shops ,restaurants and boat trips on the lake The main shops and beatrice potter experience is just a 20 minutes stroll from the camp site Overall a very nice stay at this site

This lakeside town appeals to visitors of all ages, with a vibrant atmosphere centered around Bowness Bay. A wide array of lake excursions can be enjoyed from this location, ranging from renting wooden rowing boats to sailing on the 'steamer' that takes guests further across England's longest lake, which stretches nearly 11 miles. Additionally, in Bowness, you can explore The World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction along with various boating and water-related activities.
