This was the absolute best of our summer trip to the Lakes this summer! Our baby (18m) absolute loved it! He was squeaking with joy every minute of the stay! Me, as an adult - I still enjoyed every figurine, every picture, every character.. such a lovely place! Especially the garden. The fridge magnets with family photo.. perhaps not the highest quality ;) but overall - beautiful thing to see with small children (or without!). Probably up to an hour of fun.

This was one of the loveliest places weve visited! Well worth a visit!! Even if you aren't a Beatrix Potter fan (I mean, who isn't right!?) The place is immaculate and displays are really well kept! You could walk around in 45mins but if you take your time and read/Interactive with all the information and screens its well over a couple of hours. The gift shop is something else!!! Stunning!!!!! But expensive. Can't wait to come back next year!

My partner (36) and I (60) visited here on a Wednesday morning. We hadn't prebooked, but didn't have to queue up. We were informed that there was a school group inside, we could hear them, but they were not a problem. We were initially shown into the first room where we sat for a brief explanation about the attraction and the history. The door then opened automatically and we were able to walk around and see the various animal scenes as well as the little mice and insects like ladybirds throughout the attraction. The main displays were 3D representations of various pictures in the Beatrix Potter books. Some were stationary and some were animated. There are information boards for each display, although we didn't read them all. There's also an outdoor section for Mr McGregor's garden. We only spent about an hour here, but if you have children doing the trail and/or you read all the information boards, you will take longer. After our visit, we went across the road to the Peter Rabbit cafe for lunch. I would recommend The World of Beatrix Potter especially if you have young children.

Just finished visiting the World of Beatrix Potter in Windermere! Be careful that,no photography or video recording during the performance. The Highlight: The live theatre show was so much fun and engaging! It's absolutely perfect if you are bringing kids along, they will be completely captivated. Inside the Museum: The interior is filled with beautifully crafted 3D miniatures and dioramas bringing the stories to life, alongside a great introduction to Miss Beatrix Potter and the history of Peter Rabbit. Honest Advice: This is definitely a family-oriented attraction. If you are an adult who isn't particularly interested in Peter Rabbit, you can probably skip this one. You might find it a bit too geared towards younger children, so just browsing the massive gift shop at the entrance would be enough!
