Brook Lodge Farm Camping & Caravan Park

Brook Lodge Farm, Bristol BS40 5RB, UK

Family-run touring park by a stream, eight miles south of Bristol

About Brook Lodge Farm Camping & Caravan Park

Brook Lodge Farm sits in the village of Chew Magna, around eight miles south of Bristol on the edge of the Mendip Hills, offering a quieter, more rural alternative to camping in the city itself. The five-acre park is arranged around grassland and wildflower meadows with a stream running through it, and the working farm setting gives it a genuinely rural feel despite its easy reach of both Bristol and Bath.

Pitches for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes are available across a mix of grass and hardstanding, all with electric hook-up, plus a separate paddock area for group bookings. Modern shower and toilet blocks, a family bathroom, motorhome service point, free WiFi and a children's playground make it a practical choice for families and couples touring the area. Dogs are welcome throughout, and the surrounding lanes and footpaths around Chew Magna and nearby Chew Valley Lake make for good walks straight from the pitch.

The park is well placed for the M5, useful both as a base for exploring Bristol or as a stopover for those travelling further into the South West, and its village location means a pub and shop are within easy walking distance.

Wonderful site. We felt so safe. The camp is set up with a locked keypad gate so you feel so much better at the idea of leaving your belongings there as you explore. The host was so friendly. The dog loved having a paddle on site in the little brook down the side. We brought a friend in his camper van and it was his first time going “posh” camping and he was blown away with the site. Told him that this is one of the best ones we have been to. We only got to stay two nights as only travelled up to do the Gromit Unleashed trail.

We stayed at Brook Farm Lodge 21/22 /03/26. It was our first time camping in our VW. We were made very welcome and given all relevant info straight away, and shown round. All the Amenities' were spotless and stayed that well. We will defo go back here next time we are down that way. Thank you ,

With the help of Debbie, I organised a big birthday gathering for friends and family. The weather was on our side which helped enormously but the whole weekend was just faultless. The site is really good. The location was idilic, near a stream and a lovely orchard. General facilities were very good but the support and care we had from Debbie, Ian, her father and son was second to know as they were so kind. A really fabulous campsite with lovely people running it. I would recommend hiring the fire pit, buying the wood on site and barbecue. It made our life so easy.

Honestly this was my first time camping in UK and you can imagine what would be my situation. But trust me from the day I decided this place till the end Debbie and Steve was so helpful. Let me talk about the place I reached the place without any trouble. If you are coming via Bypass A38 just keep in mind the nearest landmark is Holiday Inn Hotel, the farm is just 10mtr ahead oppst side of the road and if you are coming from Bristol Airport once you cross the Cowslip Grn you have to slowdown due to low visibility, it’s immediate sharp downward . The Campsite had all the facilities as mentioned in their website, incase if you need anything extra just give a call to Debbie she will arrange in no time. They really built everything keeping guest in mind multiple toilets with shower facilities. There is a freezer and refrigerator to keep your food and drinks. The campsite is fully secured no outsider allowed. Just ensure you are carrying enough food and grocery you won’t find any store nearby, you have to travel all the way to Bristol which is not really far though (approx 6.7mls). The farm is surrounded by lot of places to walk and jog around. And if you have kids I suggest should visit Wookey Hole in Somerset. It’s a nice smaller campsite, good facilities, brilliant service from the site owner, would stay again! Check on their website they have music fest coming up.
